Well the title says it all! I recently have become completely obsessed and addicted to knitwear! I’ve always loved a bit of  fair isle print and the Norwegian print cardigans that I see at vintage fairs and at the start of the winter I was determined to get one of the Norwegian cardigans with the silver ornate clasps up the front. So the hunt began, and now I have ended up with not one but four clasp cardigans!!!! ( This has also opened my eyes up to the world of jumpers and waistcoats!!!) Eeeekkkkk!! Yes I know, this may seem excessive but you can’t go wrong with a jumper, you always need one this time of year! The jumpers pictured are my recent additions from last weekend, bought from my new favourite vintage Stall ‘Jumpagain’ which is run by a lovely family from Edinburgh. I first came across them at Judy’s affordable vintage fair in Durham, and instantly fell in love with all things knitted. I thought what a good idea to just sell jumpers as they look amazing all displayed together! I kept going back to rummage through the rails with all of the knits good quality and lots of quirky and unusual ones! Pictured are the 4 jumpers I bought( over two weekends I might add, not all at once!) I’m in love with them all!  The colours used are all so different to most knitwear you see, and I particularly like the length of the black cardigan, as I’ve never seen one of this length before, its lovely to wear and I don’t really like to take it off!! I would say that’s my favourite item….. but I love anything with a cherry pattern on, It’s so cute!!

I’m so happy with all my Jumpagain purchases, I can’t wait to see them again at another fair!

1. Joules Pheasant Jumper £69.95 -I love this jumper!!! In fact I’ve had this since before Christmas, but the pheasant on it is so cute it deserves a feature as it’s now a best seller on the website!

2. Accessorize Ivy League Satchel £30 – My favourite bag is easily a satchel, I normally like a brown coloured one, but I’m drawn to this reddy/burgandy one for a bit of a change

3. Zara Peter Pan Collar Dress £35.99 – Anything with a peter pan collar is an instant hit with me

4. NW3 Honey Bee Earring £29.00 – I really love the jewellery from Hobbs, this season features bees, mice and cats.

5.Office Black Velvet Shoes £50 – On the quest for new work shoes, I fell in love with these and another pair, but I think these win purely on the fact that they are made of velvet and have a cute bow

6. Joy – Louche Lea Jacquard cardigan £45 – I love the colours and the pattern on this cardigan

So very sad to hear the news that The House Of Avalon vintage shop is to close at the end of the month. Easily one of my favourite vintage shops – set out over two rooms one full of beautiful vintage clothing and accessories and the other a quirky little tea room complete with ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’ on play. It will be such a loss to York , as it’s so much nicer to have a cup of tea sitting in there, surrounded by vintage memorabilia.

I’ve bought some of my very favourite vintage pieces from there, including a beautiful pink prom style dress from the fashion show they put on before Christmas and my cropped floral jacket that I bought on the opening day.

Such a shame to see the shop disappear.

Awwwwwww big style crush for Zooey Deschanel right now, with her new programme on tv right now it makes Friday nights worth staying in for, just to see what she’s wearing.

I love the quirky vintage style she has  going on, and gorgeous wavy hair to match – the way she puts clothes together whether its casual or dressed up.

 At her most recent award show the Golden globes, her nails were amazing painted like mini tuxedos!!

I’m really excited to see York Does Vintage returning to town for a Christmas special on the 3rd December! The event, run by Now and the Events was a great day out last time with something for absolutely everyone and this time around there’ll be the added benefit of being able to get some serious Christmas shopping done! Held at St Williams College (situated behind York Minster) with its amazing old beams and rich history, where could be more perfect for a vintage event.

I’m looking forward to seeing the Christmas tearoom, as last time there were some yummy cupcakes and beautiful china cups and saucers, bring on the mince pies! I also don’t want to miss out on the hair and beauty girls that will be there too, hopefully I can get some tips for Christmas and New Years Parties!!

There is a lot more going on including vintage stalls, bunting workshops and even live singers and all of this will cost just £1 (or 50p if you are a student)! What makes the whole day even better is that 15% of all money taken on the door goes to help the Alzheimer’s Society. Vintage clothes, christmas cupcakes and helping charity? Count me in!

Haworth is fast becoming one of my favourite places to be, having spent a couple of weekends there recently.

Im in love with the steam train that transports you to this amazing cobbled street village, and how there’s something new to see each time I’m there.

Im in love with the cute little shops and the amazing pottery cafe – Cobbles and Clay, where all the staff wear brightly coloured aprons and the best hazelnut latte ever is made, in fact just the best cup of coffee!!

I’m also fast discovering that there are a couple of local cats who seem to be known by all, and enjoy and a good laze around in various places in the village, including Oscar pictured above who enjoyed sharing a sandwich, and the lovely black and white cat who was sunning himself in the door way of Daisy Days

Spent the weekend at Judy’s Affordable Vintage fair, at the Corn Exchange in Leeds. Complete with beautiful surroundings, lovely vintageness and a sparkly Christmas tree it was enough to put you in a festive mood to buy lots of christmas presents! I purchased lots of lovely items including a lovely white lacey top, a blue patterned kaftan and some hand made badges that I loved – my favourite were all the bird patterned ones – they are pictured above and you can find lots of lovely vintage and hand made Items here from this stall!!

I spent a lovely morning at The Rose and Brown vintage fair in Saltaire today, which is easily my favourite vintage fair  it’s set in a beautiful venue and is always packed with some great stalls, it even has it’s own vintage refreshments area.

I love looking through all the wide variety of stalls – you never know what you might find, one of my favourite stalls today was Claire’s Vintique, she had some beautifully displayed teacups (pictured above) and she made some lovely jewellery pieces, including some little bird pendants and cute little earings.  Another stall I liked was the Goldings Old Things stall, which was beautifully laid out, and had some lovely plates displayed.
My mum purchased some really unusual handmade jewellery from a stall named Steamstress, really unique pieces which were made from everything you could imagine old parts of pocket watches, poker pieces and lots of different charms. My purchases of the day included some cherry patterned button earings and a floral print blazer.

We can’t visit Saltaire without going to Salts Mill, so stopped off to see the new David Hockney exhibition and have a hot chocolate in the Opera Cafe! The day was finished by having a walk round the food market, before the rain sent us home!!

Here is what I’m lusting after for the Autumn season!!

1. Sugarhill Boutique Green Stag Sweat – I love love love this Jumper!! Animal motifs seem to be around on a lot of clothes this season, Ark seems to have quite a few including this Stag one, theres also some deer print ones too. I particulary like the colour of this.

2. Rob Ryan Birds Wash Bag - I love Rob Ryan and where better to keep my make up then in this cute washbag! See more at http://www.misterrob.co.uk/

3. Orla Kiely Multi Flower Check Birdcage Umbrella- I’ve been in search of a nice looking ‘dome’ umbrella for quite a while, it’s probably the best way to keep dry as you can pull it right down over your head, good to protect my hair!!

4. Glamorous Burgundy Zip Pocket Dress - I like the style and the colour of this dress, I think it could be quite easily dressed up or down

5. Vila Green Nouvelle Knitted Cardigan - Once again the colour green!! Coming into Autumn I’m on the search for knitted cardigans and jumpers, I like the belt feature on this one

6. Owl Cushion – I’ve seen these around loads, but I really want one to sit on my bed!

7. Kimchi & Blue Burgundy Velvet T-Bar Shoes - These are so cute!! I love the colour and they are made of velvet,which is always a plus!!

Harlow Carr is a RHS garden located in Harrogate, it was a perfect opportunity to take some autumn photographs and have a cake in Betty’s Tea rooms!!

I visited with my mum and we spent the day avoiding the rain showers, walking through the vegetable gardens and visiting the little art exibition they have where you can purchase from.

We had lunch in Betty’s, which involved an amazing hot chocolate!! Before stopping off in Harrogate for a bit of afternoon charity shop browsing.
