I always remember reading ‘The Secret Garden’ when I was little, and then watching it come to life in the cinema, probably one of the first films I ever saw! From then on I always wanted to find a mystery key, to my own secret garden, much like wanting the back of my wardrobe to open up to reveal a secret land – (who hasn’t tried to do this??!!) I’ve always been a fairytale kind of person.

Well I think I finally found a secret garden, ok so there’s no mystery key and it’s technically not a secret but when you have the entire place to yourself it certainly feels like that! This garden is so beautiful  with magnolia and cherry blossom trees in full bloom, an ornamental pond,  ivy covered walls, topiary trees and acres of ground to wander round, surely one of the best places to be on a warm sunny day.

Harlow Carr

Harlow Carr is a RHS garden located in Harrogate, it was a perfect opportunity to take some autumn photographs and have a cake in Betty’s Tea rooms!!

I visited with my mum and we spent the day avoiding the rain showers, walking through the vegetable gardens and visiting the little art exibition they have where you can purchase from.

We had lunch in Betty’s, which involved an amazing hot chocolate!! Before stopping off in Harrogate for a bit of afternoon charity shop browsing.
